ABOUT THE REGION AND HOSPITAL

Namsos is a town located in Central Norway. Nord-Trøndelag Health Trust is a health trust subordinate to the Central Norway Regional Health Authority that operates the public specialist health care in Nord-Trøndelag county. The medical department includes cardiology, endocrinology, gastroenterology, and geriatrics specialties. The department consists of outpatient and inpatient units and currently has about 150 employees. 

Main responsabilities

Cardiological activities include clinical cardiac examination and treatment of inpatients, emergency medical examination, treatment of seriously ill patients, and extensive outpatient activities.

The examination scope includes echocardiographic equipment, modern TEE machines, hand-held ultrasound devices, pacemaker and ICD controls, and much more.

There is an excellent collaboration with cardiology colleagues at Levanger Hospital and with the University Hospital, St. Olavs Hospital in Trondheim, its tertiary center, including invasive examination with coronary angiography.

There is also clinical research in cardiology at the department.

Requirements

Specialist in internal medicine and branch specialty in cardiology.

Ability to make your own decisions and work independently.

Good collaboration skills with patients, colleagues, and other partners.

Full-time 40 hours/week.

Monthly salary approx. 5500-6500 EUR net.
