EMERGENCY is charity born in 1994 to provide free, high-quality care to victims of conflict and poverty, alongside building hospitals and training local staff. We pursue a human rights-based medicine. The right to be treated is a fundamental and inalienable right belonging to each member of the human family and is based on equality, quality, and social responsibility.
EMERGENCY has projects in Afghanistan, Iraq, Italy, Palestine, Sierra Leone, Sudan, Uganda, and Ukraine, where we offer free and quality care in our medical facilities, including: hospitals, first aid posts, health centres, paediatric centres, rehabilitation centres, maternity centres, centres of excellence, outpatient clinics and mobile clinics. We are also in the Central Mediterranean with our ship, Life Support, for search and rescue (SAR) activities.
